Contingency Plan

What could go wrong during production
How are you going to avoid this issue? What’s your back up plan?
Photo shoots taking a long time set up so that you are only left with a short time to get pictures
I will ensure this problem does not occur by doing several things. I will plan how I need the studio setting up and where props need to be placed etc. to ensure that others can help if they need to and I do not get confused or set up the set wrong. I will ensure that I take the best pictures I can within the time I have and that if the set needs big alterations multiple times I will bring somebody else to help me to do so quickly and effectively.
Memory sticks corrupting

I will avoid this problem by saving the photographs and my work to multiple places, I will save it all to 2/3 memory sticks, my home laptop, my college network space and I will also send them to my email address so I always have access to my work.
Models not turning up
I will avoid this happening by choosing a model which is reliable and is fully aware of the date, time and location. I will ensure they remember this by contacting them in the days prior to the shoot and the night before/morning of the shoot.
Cameras running out of batteries
I will ensure this does not happen by hiring out a space camera from the college whether that be from a different department or not to ensure if the camera dies I can transfer the memory card into the other camera and continue with the shoot with no hassle or running around wasting time. Or I could possibly bring or borrow a spare battery from the college, which will enable me to swap them without any trouble. Another thing I could do would be checking the battery percentage of the camera before I take it out and not take it if it is under for example 50%.
Fonts not installed on C drives
I will ensure this problem does not take a long time if it does happen. I will do this by documenting the names of the fonts and how I found them on www.dafonts.com, which will enable me to find them quickly if they are not installed on the C drive of the computer I am using. However another thing I could do would be ensure I use the same computer for the majority of the work I am doing so that I do not have this problem.
Computers crashing after you have spent two hours perfecting a particular piece of work
I will stop this from happening by doing a number of things. I will save the work every time I make a big change at the beginning and then as I get more detail into the work I will save it approximately every 3/4 minutes to ensure that whatever I lose if the system crashes is not drastic to me and the deadline. I will save my work to multiple places.
Models not bringing the correct props with them to photo shoot
I will avoid this from happening, by texting my models the night before and on the morning of the photo shoot to remind them to bring props.
Photographs being out of focus
I will avoid this from happening by checking the photographs I have taken every 15 minutes, to ensure I have enough photographs of a good quality.
External photo shoot cancelled because of poor weather
I will check the weather the night before the shoot. If the weather is scheduled to be bad I am going to re organise the photo shoot for the following week.
Not enough time for complex photo shoot
If I know a photo shoot is going to be complex I will ask my models to meet me 15 minutes before so I can make sure their hair and make up is complete, meaning that we will have the full hour to take photographs.
